Adamas kelimesi ilk \u00e7a\u011flarda \u00e7ak\u0131l ta\u015flar\u0131 ve benzeri kesicilerle \u00e7izilemeyen elmas\u0131n sertli\u011fine at\u0131fta bulunuyor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Saf karbondan olu\u015fan elmas ( C ), birbirine s\u0131k\u0131 s\u0131k\u0131ya kenetlenmi\u015f karbon atomlar\u0131 sayesinde d\u00fcnya \u00fczerinde \u015fu ana kadar bulunmu\u015f olan en sert mineraldir. Yerin yakla\u015f\u0131k 140 ile 190 kilometre alt\u0131nda y\u00fcksek \u0131s\u0131 ( 900oC \u2013 1300 oC ) ve bas\u0131n\u00e7la ( 45 \u2013 60 kilobar ) karbon atomlar\u0131 birbirine kenetlenir ve elmas olu\u015fur.
